Maud, Aberdeenshire, as seen from the old StationMaud was once a rail junction where trains from Aberdeen were split to run on the Fraserburgh and Peterhead lines. Today, the former trackways are long distance footpaths - The Formartine and Buchan Way. A small railway museum in a "unit" on the old central platform is sometimes open. Beyond the station car park are the Station Hotel and the Spar shop.
