Railway bridge in Menzelinsk

The bridge was built in the early twentieth century by order of Catherine II. A single-span metal bridge on two stone pillars is located on the eastern outskirts of the city. It is a monument of industrial architecture. The bridge over the Menzel River is called in different ways: someone "Catherine", someone" Tsaritsyn " bridge. They call it so, because after the peasant uprising of 1773-1775, Catherine II intended to come to our region in order to pass through Menzelinsk to Ufa, and the Menzelinites wanted to erect a majestic bridge corresponding to the upcoming event.
