Tomb of Clemens August von Galen in the Ludgerus Chapel in the St Paul’s Cathedral, Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, GermanySt. Paul’s Cathedral is the cathedral of the Diocese of Münster and is dedicated to St. Paul the Apostle. This building is one of the landmarks of the city of Münster. Today’s St. Paul’s Cathedral is the third cathedral of the Diocese of Münster, following two previous buildings. The current building was constructed between 1225 and 1264 on the Horsteberg hill and has been repeatedly expanded and rebuilt. After suffering severe damage, the cathedral was rebuilt between 1946 and 1956 and solemnly consecrated in 1956. The cathedral and cathedral square with the adjacent buildings are located on the site of the Carolingian cathedral hill and cathedral immunity.
